Thuli Madonsela participated in drafting the final constitution of South Africa, which was back then promulgated by President, Nelson Mandela. Thuli Madonsela is a South African Professor and Advocate of law, and holds a Chair in Social Justice at the University of Stellenbosch. Thuli Madonsela served as the South African Public Protector between October 2009 and October 2016.

During her tenure, she gained a reputation for her fearless pursuit of justice, particularly in cases involving high-level corruption and maladministration. Madonsela also played a key role in exposing the controversial upgrades to former President Jacob Zuma's private residence, which became known as the "Nkandla scandal." She continues to be an advocate for human rights, social justice, and good governance in South Africa and beyond.
